History

Built in the late 19th century as a private Victorian Villa, this large detached house with extensive private gardens was acquired by Edge Hill University in the 1970s to provide residential and office accommodation in close proximity to the campus. During the 1990s it was principally used as the base for services to international students and commercial clients.

In 2009, the building was significantly refurbished and extended to create accommodation for visitors including researchers, academic colleagues and industry partners. It is now available to visitors to Ormskirk or West Lancashire, and parents, family members or friends visiting Edge Hill students.
